Ordered these for six of my great grandchildren for Christmas...four of them (ages 7, 6, 3 & 18 months) lost their Mommy in March and are now living with their aunt and two cousins (ages 9 & 6) who also lost their aunt. I feel these books will be therapeutic for them and I pray that they help them.

I bought this book for my 6 year old daughter after the passing of her aunt, my sister-in-law. It has definitely helped her process her feeling. When she is feeling sad or missing her she gets her journal and writes and draws in it. It has pages to color pictures, write how they feel, and pages to paste pictures of their loved one. I would say that this journal is probably for younger children. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has a child who is suffering from a passing of a loved one.

This is a beautiful book but is geared towards younger kids. It states up to 10 but I think you are pushing the envelope a bit with 9 - 10 year olds, especially if they are boys. I loved the guided pages to help a child recall memories that are meaningful. It is also great at directing kids on how to express their feelings. We bought this as a gift for a friend of my daughter's who lost his sister in a car accident. I am hoping they use it and it is meaningful to them. It is really a lovely idea and a great book.

My father recently passed away and my 7 year old daughter didn't know how to handle it. And it was hard for me to try to help her while I was so lost as well. This has been wonderful. We add entries together or she does it herself. It's been very comforting.

As a partner to the adult version, this guided journal provides an opportunity for little ones to grieve in ways appropriate to their age and level of understanding. The prompts get them talking . . . the pages get them writing . . . the combination of the two is the recipe for healing.

This book is for children to deal with the death of a loved one. Honestly I use it to deal with the loss of my grandfather. I'm an adult but a lot of the questions that children want answered are the same as the ones adult want to ask.

My son recently died @ age 39, leaving 2 precious girls & a loving grieving wife. I had hoped this book would help start conversation about their dad, but found it was too early & painful for them to do. I hope we can try again because I believe we must talk it out to heal. For me, I just can't stop crying.

This book I bought for a friends 5 year old after the lose of his aunt. She called me and said Thanks you it was going to help him. I think it is the best thing ever.
