Fantastic nonfiction book- perfect for life cycle lesson or to inspire to conservationism. Kids ages 8-11 adore it.
In the past I have never been disappointed with any of the "used" books I've received through Amazon - however this book was quite well "used". When I opened the front cover I discovered that the book had been a public library book - with the public library stamp on the inside cover, first page and back cover. I think if that information would have been in the description I probably would have chosen another vendor.Since I'm using the book in my classroom for my ecology unit it will be fine - I don't allow the children to keep the books I use in the unit study in their desks so it will be OK. I was just disappointed.
,Gave the kids a great insight into just what was happening in our tank. Great photos. Went well with the trout in the classroom we raised and released this year,
I used this book as part of a unit when I was student teaching and the children were enraptured with the theme of preservation. Perfect for the classroom setting, but don't underestimate the joy it'll bring the frog-lover in your family.
Very well written with beautiful photographs and helpful illustrations. This nonfiction book is the perfect length for younger elementary students. My 3rd grade class enjoyed the book and became interested in the project. We wrote the school and they were very good about answering emails.
Great book to help students understand how they can make a real difference. Use this to teach about Service Learning in my college class.
